Through A Sensor, Darkly
2026
'Through a Sensor, Darkly' describes a smoke screen, an obscuring of realities that occurs within digital spaces. It is a result of a year-long exploration into the nature of the real and the mutations of conspiratorial and PSYOP mindsets that exist online. Everything is questioned and perceptions are easily manipulated in the digital sphere. The project highlights a collapse of truth and transforms digital intangibility into sensory experience.
'Through a Sensor, Darkly' centres on the UFO as symbolic of PSYOPs and its haunting influence on internet conspiracy. The work is multidisciplinary from woodwork and metalwork to coding, sound design, graphics and film. The 'instrument' created, borrows from the visual language of radar and UFOs, capturing aircraft movements. It transforms aircraft data: height, speed and distance, into generative sound.
WATCH: The Third Impact'The Third Impact' depicts imagery and video scraped from web sources. It uses found footage to comment on the collapsing nature of truth in digital spaces. It tracks a web of power that is present within the architecture of the internet and platforms the UFO as a relevant symbol of conspiracy in the contemporary digital age. The conspiratorial mode of analysis that exists in comment sections and forums haunts the internet.

Escape: to Borders and Boundaries
2025
Borderlines are often invisible but can dictate the ways we live and move. In our commutes we pass over many variations of a border or a boundary with differing degrees of affect. Informed by Stuart Brand's Pace Layers, a descriptor for how society is constructed from nature up to commerce and fashion, the 'border language' created aimed to represent some of these invisible layers through borderlines. By investigating geological boundaries to administrative, private land and electromagnetic borders generated by technologies, the project highlights various layers of our constructed world and where these intersect with the natural and human.
